How much ammo you really need

Combat rifle (AR, AK, SKS, SLR etc): 1000 rounds, 6 20-30 round mags
'sniper' rifle (semi auto, bolt): 200 rounds of match grade ammo
Shotgun 200 rounds of mixed hunting and combat
Handgun 200 rounds, 3 magazines or 'speed loaders'

These would be the bare minimum requirments for a short term combat situation. We don't mean to imply that you only need this much no matter what...
As you can see, we place very little emphasis on handguns. We consider them to be a last resort weapon only.
